Lesley Ann Brandt, born on the 2nd of December, 1981 at Cape Town South Africa is an actor and model. Her appearances on TV movies and series are among the most well-known works. Brandt made her debut with New Zealand with the sitcom Diplomatic immunity. Her American debut came with her role as Naevia in the drama of the same name, Spartacus: Blood and Sand. The actress appeared in many television series during the past 10 years like Spartacus: Gods of the Arena CSI: NY Single Ladies The Librarians. Brandt is currently acting as Mazikeen who is a character on Tom Ellis Lauren German Kevin Alejandro's urban-fantasy Lucifer. Brandt was born in Cape Town South Africa, and moved with her family into Auckland New Zealand in late teenager years. Brandt began modeling in TV and print ads. Prior to her rise the spotlight as a model, she was employed in sales at retail and as a consultant in the field of recruitment for IT. She was first seen in a featured role in 2009 in the New Zealand sitcom Diplomatic Immunity where she took on the role as Leilani Fa'auigaese. In 2021, she played Spartacus Blood and Sand as the slave girl Naevia. She has as well reprised her Naevia role in the prequel miniseries Spartacus: Gods of the Arena. Craig Parker was her co-star in three separate TV shows such as Diplomatic Immunity (2009), Spartacus (2010) as well as Legend of the Seeker (2008). In 2016, she started to portray a bounty hunter monster named Mazikeen on the Netflix show Lucifer. The most prominent role she has is the one she plays. She co-stars on the show alongside Tom Ellis Lauren German Kevin Alejandro and D. B. Woodside.

Her role was crucial in helping to make CNBC one of the most popular channels in this segment. Her highly successful journalistic career makes one believe that the lady was destined for this field. In her teens, Maria tried to figure out what profession she wanted to pursue. She was then tempted to be an interior decorator. When she heard about how much excitement and fun journalism offers, there was nothing she could do but go. Not only is she a top journalist, but an example to women aspiring to be successful an impact in a field which is mostly dominated by males. The award was given to her as one of the fifty Faces who Shaped the Decade she also became the first ever female journalist to be inducted into the Cable Hall of Fame.
